Site Manger/ Supervisor
A site manager will oversee operations on a day-to-day basis at Umargaon, and ensure that work is done safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards.
While work is taking place, the site manager will monitor progress, oversee delivery of materials and carry out safety checks and sort out any problems. He will also keep in close contact with members of their site team at all times. He will also ensure that work complies with factory regulations and health and safety legislation as well as other legal requirements.
A site manager will report to HO regularly on progress. He will also act as the first point of contact for members of the public and sub-contractors.
Supervising daily construction activities . Physically keeping records of all on-going activities of various contractors & sub-contractors. Checking the same with intimation, coordinating the sequence of work of all contractors. Checking all materials deliveries quality & quantity and maintaining records of the same.
Checking quality of works with specification physically at site during actual work, daily Reporting any shortfall, deficiency etc. in the work to Head office.
Skills and interests
He needs to be able to plan work well, and to be well-organized, and prepared for responsibility and decision making. Highly numerate with good IT skills, as well as good at solving problems.
He also needs particularly strong people skills, since youll have to be able to communicate with, manage and motivate people at all levels, from staff to sub-contractors.

Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project/construction
Coordinating and supervising construction workers
Selecting tools and materials
Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
Maintaining quality control procedures
Finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up
Assessing and minimizing risk
Helping to negotiating contracts and securing permits and licenses
